Going through school when I was younger was very hard. I never had enough time to finish a test and had trouble concentrating when I was anxious. With my accommodations I have been able to take my time and read the question in a quieter environment. My accommodations helped me with my success in nursing school to ensure that I had the time I needed to read the questions and realize that I know the answer.

I used to be afraid to let anyone know about my accommodations and sometimes not even using them even though I knew it would help me. I now know that having accommodations is not a bad thing at all and I’m not afraid or care what people think.
